What's the difference between TVT and TVT Spelling?
TVT Spelling is a multilingual spellchecking software add-on that finds misspellings in documents across different languages, including Finnish, Arabic, Hebrew, Thai and more. For our life science clients, we’ve also included over 100,000 medical terms from the Stedman’s® Plus Medical/Pharmaceutical Spellchecker as an optional add-on.
TVT is a content verification software: it finds content deviations, including text discrepancies, from removed words and spaces to changes in the reading order. But if a typo exists in both versions, TVT won’t catch it.
Can TVT Spelling be used independently from TVT?
Yes. TVT Spelling can be used independently of TVT to check spelling in your materials. However, it’s not sold as a stand-alone product.
What’s the benefit of using TVT Spelling instead of exporting text to a different program?
TVT Spelling can be used simultaneously with TVT, TVT Artwork and TVT Barcode within the same workflow. This both saves your time and prevents introduction of additional errors during exporting and re-importing your documents to proofread them.
If desired, you can also create custom dictionaries or import the ones you’re already using.
TVT Spelling also helps automate report generation and create a full audit trail for companies in regulated industries.
