Find out how Tank Worldwide speeds up content checks and quickly onboards new team members

Tank Worldwide (Tank WW) switched to TVT from another automated proofreading solution to cut down time spent learning how to use it and waiting for tech support. Now, TVT runs tedious content checks — and the QC team stays focused on the bigger picture.

Problem
Support delays and hard-to-learn proofreading solution

Tank WW was already using an automated proofreading solution. However, it was hard to learn. And when they needed help with troubleshooting, their support team wasn’t very responsive.

Solution
Easier onboarding and faster checks with TVT

With TVT taking care of repetitive proofreading tasks like formatting checks, the team can focus on the big-picture aspects that are important to get right in advertising.

Outcome
More time for high-value content review tasks

Problem

Previous proofreading solution slowing down the QC team

Tank Worldwide’s Quality Control team realized that their current automated proofreading solution was creating bottlenecks.

Tank Worldwide is a creative advertising agency that specializes in healthcare and wellness, with clients including the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies.

The Quality Control team at Tank WW is in charge of checking all advertising materials, from websites and emails to presentations and copy decks, usually comparing an approved Word document with a PDF. To keep track of every detail across projects — even those with tight deadlines — they used an automated proofreading tool.

But the team wasn’t satisfied with the solution. It had a steep learning curve, especially for new hires, and the support team was slow to respond when issues came up.

As Tank WW grew, the automated proofreading tool became a bottleneck for the QC team. They needed a faster, easier solution that could scale with their workload.

“By automating our proofreading, our aim was to take the “mechanical” element of word-for-word, number-for-number proofreading off the plate of the team. That way the team could focus more on high-value content elements important for advertising materials — stylistics, consistency, flow and clarity, readability, and whether it could be easily understood by the target audience.”

Solution

Finding the right tool for the fast-paced agency world

After researching available tools, Tank WW went with TVT. One of the main selling points: an e-learning portal with short tutorials.

Schlafender Hase’s e-learning portal with short, actionable videos was one of the factors that convinced the QC team to switch to TVT. They were able to use TVT in their day-to-day proofreading almost immediately

Now the team has more time to focus on high-value tasks specific to advertising — while TVT checks content for text and formatting deviations.

They also found new ways to use TVT beyond formatting checks, including reading order verification, using annotations and URL imports to speed up reviews, and more.

“TVT’s training platform is robust, comprehensive and well-structured into bite-sized topics. Perfect for the fast-paced agency environment. Beyond that, it's also a huge resource for current team members when they need a refresher.”

Outcome

Multiple TVT applications across content types

From checking texts for compliance with country-specific regulations to faster correction cycles, Tank WW uses TVT across multiple workflows.

The QC team uses TVT to check regulated safety information formatting in pharmaceutical advertising content, such as underlining, bolding and punctuation.

They also rely on other TVT features to speed up they workflows:

  • annotated PDFs to reduce the number of correction cycles for large content pieces,
  • automated checks for content discrepancies across campaigns with identical elements,
  • loading documents through a simple insertion of a URL to compare online and print campaign versions, and finally,
  • reading order verification to stay compliant with digital accessibility laws.

“The team can rely on TVT to pick up any deviations between documents and now focus more attention on aspects of advertising material that add higher value.”
